Classes offered through ONE
NIXA the last Thursday of every other month from 6 to 9 pm, open to any and all students

Faught Community Room - 301 S. Main Street, Nixa, Missouri

Defensive Driving 101/First Impact is a combined class for new permit drivers and parents of new permit drivers. The first part of the class, First Impact, is a University of Missouri, School of Medicine program designed for parents and discusses the Missouri GDL Law (Graduated Driver License). Parents will learn the specifics of GDL and the various stages of permit, intermediate, and full driver license as well as strategies for training a new permit driver. Parental involvement is the key to teen driving safety. The second part of the class is Defensive Driving 101 that prepares students for operating a vehicle safely on the roadways of Missouri. We will discuss defensive driving, crash avoidance, rules of the road, distracted driving, and decision making. This 3-hour seated course covers the driving fundamentals your new driver should be familiar with before getting behind the wheel.  This new combined format places parents and students together in a relaxed setting to smoothly begin the learning to drive process. There's not a better way to prepare for driving lessons at Premier than completing Driving 101 and First Impact.
